I love a good treasure hunt. During the first several years of my life, I lived in the Los Angeles County beach community of Playa del Rey. I dug in the sand with two goals - make a castle and find Spanish gold from an ancient shipwreck. I was a romantic child.
Making art is it’s own kind of treasure hunt. When I take a break from creating, I head out to estate sales and look for treasures from the past.
